The historical Mississippi County Detention Center is temporarily closed. Do not assume it currently holds a person. Ask the sheriff whether custody is with Scott County Jail or another receiving facility. Use the route that matches the type of information needed:
- For a booking record or photo, start with the county arrest hub, then ask the arresting agency's records custodian.
- For current local custody or a transfer, call the Sheriff's Office and ask which facility holds the person.
- For a new state-patrol arrest, use the Daily Arrest Report; for a wider discovery window, use the Weekly Arrest Log.
- For release or transfer alerts, use the official Missouri MOVANS path through the VINELink Inmate Check.
- For a Charleston, East Prairie, or Bertrand police record, contact the city department that created it.
- For state custody or supervision, search the Missouri Department of Corrections offender system.
